Your Story in 6 Words!

This week the Etsy Shop Makeover Challenge was to write your story in six words. This is what the author of the challenge said:
Fill sheets of paper with adjectives that describe you. What are your best attributes? Think about what is most important to you. What do you value most? Your shop and your six-word memoir should make sense. Your story and your shop need to be in alignment.
It takes longer to write a good short story. You have to give it a lot of thought. After much thought and trying endless combinations my memoir is: “Storyteller addicted to color and texture.” Take a look at my Etsy Shop and read my profile and product descriptions to see if I’m in alignment with my memoir.
So today I decided to do it! :-) Now, I didn't fill SHEETS of paper, I don't think that fast and I didn't have that much time! :-) I could have written a couple different "Stories", but since this one is geared towards my Etsy shop, after writing down these things that are important to me or just that I like-

God
my husband
family
outdoors
nature
quiet
honesty
beauty
purity
creativity
music
health
animals
gardening
flowers
romance
cooking
baking
history
old fashioned
modesty
reading
homemaking
simplicity
kindness
gentleness
I came up with this:

Happy God’s girl loving natural beauty

You can check out the challenge post HERE.

What's YOUR story?

Featured Etsy Seller- Elsie's Flat

Hello everyone! I found another awesome Etsy shop to share with you! Linda of Elsie's Flat makes beautiful unique aprons of all shapes and sizes! Each apron is created from a custom pattern and are fully adjustable to fit a variety of sizes.

Linda has lots of different styles too- floral ones, like this:

And printed ones like this:

And manly guy aprons like this:

And girlie girl aprons like this! (Isn't this one soooo cute???!!)

I especially love the ones with the flouncy bottoms! They are so cute! All of these aprons are unique, functional, stylish, and made in the USA! The prices are great too in my opinion! Head on over and check out the shop - there's lots more aprons than I could put in one post! Even if you're not a serious cook or baker, it's always nice to have an apron for that one time of year that you DO get down to business in the kitchen. :-) I love to cook, and have about 5 aprons in several different styles that I wear regularly. I'm a messy cook so it makes for less laundry. ;-)
I hope you enjoyed this look at Elsie's Flat!! Have a great evening!!

Vintage Bedrooms!

Well, I love vintage. Do you? Sometimes I like to just look through pictures and pick out ones that I like- maybe save them for decorating ideas for when we (maybe...someday...possibly...perhaps...hopefully..) buy a house. :-)
Anyway, I decided to share a couple pictures that I found tonight. :-) Enjoy!

Now, my husband would never go for this ^ however, maybe for a girls room? :-)

And I love the rustic look of this ^! Maybe in an entry way or something?

In this ^ one, I love the lightness, and the chairs are awesome!!

Ok I'm going to bed! :-) Hope you enjoyed!!

Handmade Valentine's Gift Basket! ♥

Hello everyone! I just wanted to tell you about a beautiful romantic gift basket that my family has put together for this Valentine's Day!

My brother Ben handmade the basket with wild vines, my sisters Brianna and Bethany and brother Bo handmade the all natural beeswax luminaria, my mom and sisters sewed the terry cloth bath bags and with my dad they came up with a unique blend of invigorating and aromatic herbs to fill it with for a romantic bath. They also have created a two special herbal tea blends, one for men and one for women, which are included in the basket in two reusable cotton tea bags. My amazing mom and my sisters also will bake two yummy biscotti from all natural ingredients, each dipped in chocolate for the perfect romantic treat! To finish the evening off perfectly, my organic Warm Vanilla Silk massage oil is also included.

To read more about it, and find out how to order check out my Dad's website:

and click on the picture on the front page! This is a one of a kind unique gift that will be enjoyed by both you and your spouse. Don't miss out! :-)

Easy Natural Nail Whitener

You know how your nails get discolored after being painted for a while? That happened to me recently. I wanted to let my nails go au naturale for a little while, but I was embarrassed by the yellowish tint the polish had left behind! If you are like me and hate to use chemicals on your skin (yeah, still looking for the all natural nail polish!), then you'll be happy to hear this. I found a natural whitener, and best of all, it's easy to make at home.
It's simply:
 2 Tablespoons Orange Flower Water
 1 teaspoon fresh Lemon Juice

Orange flower water can be found in some specialty health food stores, or in liquor stores in the mixer section. Just mix these two things together and put in a clean container (glass is best) with a tight fitting lid. To use, apply the nail whitener to clean dry nails with a clean cotton swab. Repeat 2 or 3 times. You can do this two or three times a day every couple of days until your nails are back to their natural color. This also works on discoloration from smoke.
It's a good idea to moisturize your hands after using this, because lemon juice can be drying. Now you can paint away without worrying about the side effects! :-) Have fun!

What do YOU think? ♥

Good morning everyone!
So, I just made this new batch of soap. It is called Kelp & Lime, and it has a loofah sponge slice in each bar! I am really happy with how it turned out! Now, the only thing I am wondering about is that some of the bars have a gap in them where the soap didn't get inside the loofah completely. Each bar is still between 2 and 3 ounces, and I think it makes the bars look unique and cool. What do YOU think?

And here is a sneak peek at the beginnings of my new organic massage oil ~ Warm Vanilla Silk!

It'll be similar to the massage oil I have in my shop here , except it'll be a lovely smooth Vanilla & Cinnamon & Sweet Orange scent!

Today I'm planning on making a manly batch of soap! :-) What are you doing today?
